The Story of Lella

Born on a rainy day

…to uproot a seemingly incurable sadness and heal the longing for the sea.

Lella is born from a simple, true, deeply familiar memory.

When we were children, our land was not yet known to the world. It was a hard, poor land, made of farmers, of essential gestures and everyday creativity.

Back then, our grandmother made her limoncello at home — not as a luxury, but as an act of love. She did not use pure spirit, but what she had: white wine, the wine of the family.

She let the lemon peels infuse, then added the wine and a little sugar, creating a limoncello unlike any other: fresh, light, fragrant, low in alcohol — meant to bring people together rather than to “stun”.

Lella

Today, as the Fia family, we have chosen to reinterpret that recipe — respecting its soul while bringing it into the present. So Lella was born: a contemporary limoncello, inspired by tradition yet made for today's world.

Lella is drunk cold after a meal, but it also surprises as an aperitivo, perhaps topped with sparkling wine: a fresh, elegant and immediate base. A versatile product, just like the cooking of the old days.

A sip of sun, simplicity and quality, without excess. A limoncello that does not forget where it comes from, yet looks ahead with ease.
